I frequently get asked for toy recommendations, and it's one of my favorite topics! This gift guide contains some of my most favorite and most used toys, but for a completely personalized list as well as ways to play with each toy, book a session!

As you do your holiday shopping, keep in mind my top tips for toys:

1. SIMPLE is best! The more a toy does, the less the child does. Try to avoid toys that have batteries. When a toy talks, makes noise, and/or lights up, it removes an opportunity for your child to use their language and imagination.

2. Classic toys are classic for a reason! You can't go wrong with "old fashioned" toys like a dollhouse, train set, or wooden blocks. These open-ended toys are where the magic of play happens.

3. Consider storage. Research shows that having fewer toys (less than 12) available at a time leads to better, longer, and deeper play. Be mindful about your storage space as you select toys.
