Who can benefit from Play Onwards?

Play onwards is for you if:

you have concerns about your child's development
you are on a waiting list for therapy but want strategies you can start using today
you consider your child a "late talker"
you want to build your playtime confidence, creativity, or break out of a "toy rut"

your child's pediatrician recommended a "wait and see" approach but you want to support them now

I've never heard of play consulting- what is it?

It's a term I came up with to describe the best part of my job as a speech therapist! Play consulting is a way to coach caregivers to create routines and environments that facilitate language learning.

Do you accept insurance?

At this time, we do not accept insurance and operate as a private-pay service. This allows us to tailor sessions and plans to your family and not be limited in our services. If you are looking for alternate pricing options, in the future we are hoping to offer group sessions which would reduce cost and provide opportunities for peer play. I already play with my child. Is this necessary?

You are the expert on your child and you are their favorite play partner! Play Onwards was created for families who want to maximize playtime to support language or other learning.

What if one session isn't enough?

There are options for adding sessions at a discounted rate that can be discussed during our follow-up phone call.

What if my child presents with delays?

If, following our play session and my clinical observation, I observe delays that warrant additional evaluation, I am able to provide resources and guidance through the referral process.
